A fatal single-vehicle crash in Dale County on Mother’s Day has claimed the life of 66-year-old Linda D. White of Geneva, Alabama, and resulted in criminal charges against the driver, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Dale County Road 1 near Alabama Highway 92, about seven miles south of Enterprise. Investigators reported that a Jeep Commander left the roadway for reasons still under investigation before striking a utility pole.

Linda D. White, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.
