James Paul Lake Obituary-Death: Barnesville Motorcyclist Has Passed Away Following Fatal Schuylkill County Crash

The community of Barnesville is mourning the tragic loss of James Paul Lake, who sadly passed away following a fatal motorcycle accident in Schuylkill County. He was 53 years old.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the accident occurred at approximately 4:26 p.m. Wednesday along Mountain Road near the intersection of Tumbling Run Road in Blythe Township.

Investigators reported that James Paul Lake was operating a 2023 Triumph Tiger motorcycle while traveling through the Tamaqua area when the crash occurred.

Authorities stated that Lake approached a curve where Mountain Road bends left near Tumbling Run Road and reportedly lost control of the motorcycle while navigating the turn.

The motorcycle overturned and traveled across the roadway before coming to rest along the right shoulder.

Emergency Response and Medical Treatment

Emergency crews responded to the scene following reports of a serious motorcycle accident. Officials confirmed that Lake sustained severe injuries in the crash and was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

He was transported by Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill for emergency treatment.

Despite lifesaving efforts by medical personnel, James Paul Lake later succumbed to his injuries.
