Netsia Philogene Killed After SUV Loses Control on I-95 in Philadelphia

The community of Claymont, Delaware, is mourning the tragic loss of 31-year-old Netsia Philogene, who was killed in a devastating rollover crash Tuesday night on I-95 in South Philadelphia.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 9:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes near the Columbus Boulevard exit. Investigators said Philogene was driving a black Toyota Highlander and attempting to merge between vehicles when the crash took place.

Authorities said the SUV struck another vehicle, lost control, hit a highway barrier, and rolled multiple times before Philogene was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries.

Philogene’s 4-year-old daughter was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Officials said the child was not physically injured but was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a precaution.

The sudden tragedy has left family and friends heartbroken as they remember Philogene’s life and the love she had for her child. Loved ones say her passing has created an unimaginable loss for those closest to her.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision as the community mourns a life taken far too soon.
